The crime map feature available in all AppArmor apps uses interactive mapping technology to show where crimes have recently occurred on or around campus. The crime map provides details about the incident so that students can be made aware of any potential threats in the area and which areas should be used with an increased level of caution when walking alone.

The interactive crime map also acts as a way to keep students and staff aware of safety updates and information around campus. The updated crime map is relevant to students, which will drive them into the app and encourage them to utilize the safety features in the app.

The ongoing reporting in the interactive crime map is compliant with the Clery Act, which requires US postsecondary institutions to disclose all reported crimes and assaults on campus.

If you would like to add this feature to your mobile safety app, contact your AppArmor representative.
